At last, the show that was immortalised by Tommy Steele returns to the Glasgow stage. From the outset David Heneker’s rousing score will have your feet tapping and your heart racing "All In The Cause Of Economy". "Half – A - Sixpence" follows the ‘rags to riches’ tale of Arthur Kipps, a scruffy orphan who works hard to make a living in Edwardian Folkstone. Arthur inherits a princely sum from his long lost grandfather but soon learns that wealth is not always accompanied by happiness. Arthur sets off on some comical and, sometimes, tragic adventures intent on achieving that happiness. On the way you will be entertained by Beverley Cross’s amusing book and, of course, David Heneker’s lively score which includes chorus crackers like "Money To Burn", "A Proper Gentleman", "If The Rain’s Got To Fall" and "Flash, Bang, Wallop" not forgetting the romantic title duet. A live orchestra will accompany our enthusiastic and talented cast and this irresistible package will be wrapped up in lavish period costume and scenery.

Prepare to be Flash, Bang, Walloped!!!
