Caroline Patterson

Caroline Patterson

Caroline secured her place in Theatre Guild history by winning a leading role in her first ever Guild production (Laurey in Oklahoma!) in 2004. Since then she cameo'd as Rose in Hello, Dolly! and followed this up with the role of Lois / Bianca in our 2006 production of Kiss Me Kate. In 2007 she returned as "Ginger" in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and this year Caroline once again tops the bill - this time her name is "Lola" (... she was a Showgirl) in our glitzy production of Copacabana. Caroline has built up an impressive amount of stage experience for one so young. She was an active member of Trinity St. Paul's Junior Players for 11 years. Principal roles there included Anne (Anne of Green Gables), Raquelita (Viva Mexico), Rose (Bye Bye Birdie) and most recently the Narrator (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat). She is now an active (and enthusiastic) member of our successful Concert Party.

After giving up performing for Trinity St. Paul's in 2003 (at the ripe old age of 18 she felt she was pushing 'Junior' to the limit) she took on a role as a production assistant and now helps the junior cast with singing and acting.

Her first EVER performance was when she sang "See How the Snowflakes are Falling" in church aged only 3. When not on stage she is studying accountancy at university and she likes to play violin in her spare time.

Recalling a funny stage moment Caroline said "During a performance of 'Bye Bye Birdie' I got a little over excited in an argument in one of the scenes. I swung at a girl with a full size leather suitcase and nearly knocked her off stage! Oops!". (Caroline's secret: In her first performance for Trinity St. Paul's she played a man!!)
